About the Villum Kann Rasmussen dormitory
The Villum Kann Rasmussen (VKR) dormitory lies at The Technical University of Denmark (DTU) at Lundtoftesletten a bit north from Lyngby. The dormitory is located in the top of 4. quadrant, which is located in the bottom right of the map.
Most residents are students at DTU, but some study at other educational institutions.
There are 84 residents at the dormitory, which is 3 stories high and consists of 3 blocks. There are 14 apartments on each floor, where each apartment is 36 m2 and consists of 2 rooms, which each are 12 m2, a small kitchen and a bathroom. The apartments were originally made for couples, but most often the rooms are rented out seperately. On each floor in the middle building there is a big common kitchen. In every room there is a network plug, where you can access the dormitories internal network and the Internet through K-Net and other providers.
The distribution of available rooms is administered by the Polytechnical Association Nomination Committee (PFIU). You can apply through findbolig.nu.
