Important information to all: The laundry room will be closed during week 11 (Monday 12/3 to Friday 16/2) because we are getting new washing machines and a new dryer. It will be a better dryer and washing machines with automatic soap dispensers!

Dear residents,

due to preparations for getting on the new k-net setup we need to check if all labling corresponds with what we have in our patch panel. Hence this weekend starting on Saturday 21st of Janurary from 12:00 we will need to quickly access each of the rooms at the dorm to do some testing.

While this is going on there can be some outages on the Internet connection.

We are expecting finishing this as quickly as possible, each room should not take more than a couple of minutes.

Internet Explorer 9 breaks K-Net Utility, because it overwrites a DLL file with a newer version. K-Net is working on a new version of the utility.

If you have installed IE9, use a SSH client such as PuTTY to log on the firewall.

Configure PuTTY as follows:

1. Go to Connection>Data
2. Enter your login name
   
3. Now to to Connection>SSH>TTY
4. Tick "Don't allocate a pseudo-terminal"
   
5. Go to Session
6. In Host Name use: fw2.k-net.dk
   

If you want to save the settings for next time you open up PuTTY, fill in the text field Saved Sessions and press the Save button. To connect double click the saved session.

It has now been a while since the renovation of the kitchens started and they are finally done!

To night at 18:00 we will start moving in the cuttlery and other stuff  we have stored in the container in the parking lot. So if you are eager to start using the new kitchens, it would be nice if you could give a hand moving the stuff in a gain.

We are sorry about the delay there has been between the expected date and now. But there have been some problems with some things in the kitchens which are now fixed.

On the 24th of January work on the new kitchens began. A very tight schedule has been laid out, so that the residents will experience the least amount of inconvenience possible. As such we except work to be finished and inspected the 25th of february.

The new kitchens will house more ovens, more stoves, more refrigirators and instant boiling water. Thus it will be able to accomodate more of the needs of the residents.
